Introduction

This website is the Home Page of Linda Redekop and Wilfred Gilchrist. The name Gillie was a nickname of Wilfred's father Fred Gilchrist. In Scottish Gaelic the word gillie means "lad" or "servant". The Gaelic surname Gilchrist means "servant of Christ".

At the present time we are both retired. Linda has been active in a quilting group for several years and Wilfred spends a lot of time exercising. He exercises to counter the effects of treatment for prostate cancer.



Health

 Top


Most Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays, Wilfred heads off to the RA Centre. Many other people go there as well. We go for the healthy benefits of exercising. And we also go for the socializing.

Travel

 Top Linda and Wilfred have travelled extensively during their lives. Now that we are retired we have continued to travel. We like to do house exchanges when we travel. Since 2001 we have arranged house exchanges through the international organization called Intervac Canada. www.intervac.ca/

We have been to Ireland, Scotland, The Netherlands, Poland, Norway, Austria, and Switzerland.
